The Niagara Falls Outdoor Lighting Festival in Ontario, Canada is the largest free outdoor light festival in North America, and something that your whole family should experience at least once. During the Falls Festival, the city of Niagara Falls is transformed into a winter paradise with the help of 3 million lights and stunning displays set up along the Niagara Parkway, on the Dufferin Islands, and on the streets itself. Every year from early November to the second week of February, Niagara Falls hosts the Winter Festival of Lights, a multi-venue light display with a winter and holiday theme. Since its inception in 1983, the event has grown to become a major draw for visitors to Niagara Falls, Ontario.
The Winter Festival of Lights has a light show put on by the Toronto Power Generating Station, a display by the Canadian-American Flag, the famous Zimmerman Fountain, and more than fifty trees decorated with lights. The festival also features other annual activities such as the Opening Ceremonies at Queen Victoria Park, a fireworks show, and The Cascade of Fire.
